Be on alert for the Fair Guide/Expo-Guide Scam

SHOT Show officials are again reminding exhibitors and attendees to treat solicitations from trade directory publishers, especially Fair Guide and Expo-Guide, with extreme caution.

By signing and returning their solicitations, you will be entering into multi-year, irrevocable agreements that automatically renew and will require you to pay a significant amount of money with no foreseeable benefits. Further information about how this scam works can be found on the SHOT Show website. Please alert your staff and colleagues who are likely to be sent these deceptive and misleading solicitations as well. The SHOT Show has no relationship with the Fair Guide, Expo-Guide, or any other trade directory publishers, and they are not authorized to use the "SHOT Show" name and registered trademarks on information they send to show exhibitors and attendees.
